Gas stunt may land Hill in hot water
Though D.C. based lobbyist Baron Hill voted against increasing North American gas and oil production in a series of votes when he was in Congress, he thinks that the gas price issue will win him back his old seat.

On August 30, in Bloomington, Hill sold gasoline to potential voters at a Sunoco station at $1.80 per gallon, about a buck below the regular local price. The problem is that Hill knew that what he was doing may not be legal under federal and state election law, and state bribery statutes.

It was pointed out to Baron, before the event, that candidate Mike Weaver in Kentucky was being investigated by the U.S. Attorney General for vote buying for doing exactly the same thing.

Citizens for Truth has filed a request for an investigation with the Election Crimes Division of the U.S. Attorney General's office, and with the Indiana Election Commission.
