Witnesses to berserk Baron Hill
October 17, 2006

Congressman Baron Hill went berserk after he lost his re-election bid in 2004, and went to churches in Seymour, Indiana and screamed at an American Legion color guard and church attending families.

Here are two of the witnesses to
this spectacle of arrogance and spite:

editor from one of the witnesses:

The members of Cornerstone Community Church were the victims of this unwarranted behavior, however, neither the Church nor its leadership is responsible for this video.

Baron Hill debates himself on Gay Marriage      September 28, 2006

Baron Hill seems to be unable to decide where he stands on homosexual marriage, but let’s look at the facts:
  1. Baron Hill says in his recent television advertisement that "marriage between a man and a woman is sacred".
  2. Baron Hill voted "no" on House Resolution 3313, which was introduced to "limit Federal court jurisdiction over questions under the Defense of Marriage Act."
  3. DailyKos.com reports that Baron Hill says he is against federal control of this issue.
If Baron Hill believes marriage is "sacred" (a clearly religious term) why would he vote against legislation to protect marriage?

If Baron Hill does not want the federal government to have control over the homosexual marriage issue, why did he vote against H.R. 3313, which would limit federal power and enhance state power over the issue by prohibiting federal courts overturning state laws?

Baron Hill is clearly trying to play both sides of the issue. He does not want to offend his liberal supporters in Bloomington, but he does not want to alienate mainstream rural voters in the rest of the Ninth District. In trying to avoid taking any position whatsoever, all Baron Hill has managed to do is twist himself into a pretzel.

When we sift through the rhetoric and get to the facts (namely Baron Hill's voting record) the conclusion is clear: Baron Hill supports homosexual marriage.

The truth on the Pledge      September 28, 2006

Baron Hill likes to deny it and gloss it over, but www.Issues2000.org reports that Baron Hill voted against H.R. 2028, which would limit the jurisdiction of the federal courts on controversial issues surrounding the Pledge of Allegiance.

In response to federal courts trying to take God out of the pledge of allegiance, Baron Hill voted against stopping them.

According to his voting record, Baron Hill believes the federal courts should have the power to remove God from the Pledge of Allegiance.

The only reasonable conclusion is that Baron Hill supports removing God from the Pledge of Allegiance, no matter how much Baron wants to weasel out of it. Ex-Congressman, turned D.C.-lobbyist, Baron Hill had the chance to support Hoosier values, but instead, he supported the liberals who financed his Congressional campaigns.

Baron Hill debates himself on religion      September 27, 2006
"I don't try to wear religion on my sleeve for political gain; that would be wrong." -- Baron Hill, quoted in the Howey Political Report.

Baron doesn’t believe that he should wear religion on his sleeve?
His campaign ads are all about Baron trying to wear religion on his sleeve. (see attached screensnaps of his website)

Why? This is nothing more the usual Baron trying to play all sides.

In truth, Hill votes against religious values whenever he has been given the chance, but uses religion when he is trying to court religious conservatives.

Come on Baron, you can’t fool all the people all the time.

Baron Hill’s religion is the same as it always has been: Washington politics. That is why Hill stayed in D.C. as a Big-time lobbyist instead of coming back to Indiana. Hill now wants Hoosiers to send him on another two-year paid vacation in D.C.

Big-time lobbying and D.C. life remain Baron’s religion of choice.
